THREE DECADES OF MOUKA FOAM

Situated in the heart of the largest industrial estate in sub-Sahara Africa, MOUKA FOAM is currently the largest single plant in West Africa. It has provided Nigeria and the neighbouring countries with millions of good quality mattresses.

MOUKA FOAM is a Polyurethane Slabstock facility with a total of five production lines, consisting of three continuous lines and two discontinuous lines. The first two continuous production lines (Canon Viking) Maxfoam, have a capacity 175 Kilos of PU foam per minute (One in Ikeja and One in Benin). The other, is a State of the Art continuous production line (Laaderberg) with a capacity of 400 kilos of PU foam per minute supplied with a continuous CO2 line, the first and so far the only one in Nigeria.

Added to the above, one high capacity recycling plant and a semi automatic Block Foam Processing Machine. Several cutting and converting machines allow MOUKA FOAM to meet all the requirements of its customers. The foam manufacturing factory has since inception been manufacturing various grades of high-density quality of polyurethane (foam) materials including foam blocks, cushions,sheetings, orthopaedic and ordinary mattresses, and pillows.

In 1992 MOUKA FOAM decided to adhere to the Montreal Protocol and to the elimination of all O.D.S. from its manufacturing. As an organization that is aware of its responsibility to the operating environment, MOUKA FOAM became the first plant in Africa, Middle- East, Near- East and Eastern Europe to comply with the world wide ban on the Ozone Depleting Substances (O.D.S) MOUKA FOAM is produced using the environment friendly Liquid Carbon Dioxide, Novaflex licensed by Hennecke a BAYER company.

In 1997 The Foam Group of MAN (The Manufacturers Association of Nigeria) awarded Mouka Foam the first ever Achievement Award for their efforts in the pioneering of "Green Foam" .Mouka Foam was also awarded the LASEP A (Lagos Sate Enviroment Protection Agency) Special Environmental Award.

MOUKA FOAM was the first foam company in Nigeria to get its laboratory certified to International Standards Organization ISO9001 in 1999 .It reconfirmed its excellence with ISO 9001:2000 for Mouka Plant in 2001, and ISO 14001:1996 for Environmental Management in 2003.

In 2002 the company celebrated its 30th Anniversary with a new 'Spring Mattress Factory'. Using the sturdy "European Standard Bonnel Spring", our Spring Mattresses are setting the trend for the industry .Belgian Clama textile adds the necessary luxury touch while reinforced side walls are fitted to prevent the slightest shrinkage. Our 10" range offers a foam reinforced quilting with 'Egg Crate' design for maximum ventilation and aeration. Our facilities can accommodate custom sizes and abrupt instant orders. The latter we are proud to achieve without any compromise on quality which is our motto and our dictum.
